How does yeast/Candida leave your body?

Question by KW: How does yeast/Cadida leave your body?
And how will I know if the candida diet and probiotics are working?

Answer by IMGold
You will know if the diet and probiotics are working when you stop having symptoms. Of course, it depends on the severity of your symptoms.

I had severe yeast problems – since 1987 after a hysterectomy and it seemed like my body turned on itself. No matter how many diets and probiotics I took, I still had symptoms. Even when the itching, burning symptoms went away – sometimes only because of a prescription drug – the discomfort in my abdomen remained. I was informed I had “systemic yeast” and would probably just have to “learn to live with it,” take probiotics all the time and still end up with the heavy prescription drug when necessary.

What are some of the most powerful ways to eliminate Candida from the body?

Question by Look Its Jay: What are some of the most powerful ways to eliminate Candida from the body?
I have 2 persistent skin infections so it might be best for me to tackle the problem at its core, rather than superficially.

You can control candida by diet, as its a yeast infection. Get a proper diagnosis first as it may be something else such as eczema which requires different treatment.

Why does the body make white discharge when you get a yeast infection?

Question by : Why does the body make white discharge when you get a yeast infection?
I just recently got a yeast infection, and I realized that many websites and how most doctors diagnose if you have a yeast infection is if the woman has thick cottage cheese like discharge. But i’m wondering is why the body makes this type of discharge when you have a yeast infection? and why does it smell like fish, and or bad typically when you have one.

Answer by Q
The body doesn’t make the discharge–the “discharge” is actually the yeast, which is an independent fungus that lives in your vagina. It’s always there, but when it grows to amounts larger than normal, they call it a yeast infection. Because it’s grown in large enough numbers, it becomes visible as the white cottage cheese-like substance.

Q&A: Can a untreated yeast infection affect other parts of your body?

Question by Pretty Lady: Can a untreated yeast infection affect other parts of your body?
My friend has a yeast infection, but because she has diabetes her doctor says nothing can be done about it to get rid of it completely. She has experienced severe pain in her head for the past week, can this be due to her yeast infection?

Yeast infections can spread from your vagina to your bladder, from your bladder to your kidneys, and from your kidneys into your bloodstream. When the infection is released into the bloodstream, it can be spread to all organs. This is called septicemia. It can lead to any number of fatal conditions, including endocarditis (infection of the heart) and meningitis (infection of the membranes surrounding the brain and spinal cord). Your friend should definitely see a doctor as soon as possible!

Q&A: How do I rid my body of candida without using meds?

Question by shortcake: How do I rid my body of candida without using meds?
I am searching on line and in books and finding contradicting information. I have read that garlic (fresh), fresh juiced carrots (not store purchased juic), grape seed extract, olive leaf extract and something called pau d’arco help eliminate and then I have to take probiotics not to mention a “candida diet”- can’t find consistent info on what a good candida diet would even be…. help!

Low carb diets help to “starve out” candida. Simply by keeping your blood sugar low much of the candida will die due to lack of high glucose in the blood stream. That is how low carb helps.

Probiotics such as acidopholus from yogurt also help to crowd out the candida. If healty bacteria like acidopholus is low in your body the yeast can get out of control kind of like how deer populations become too high without natural predators to keep them contained.

Eating fresh lemons also helps to control candida. Drinking (sugar free) lemonade will help. Same with apple cider vinegar.
Pau d” arco is simply a part of a tree bark. It does help to kill yeast, but is expensive. There are cheaper ways to help. The olive oil, grape seed extract, olive leaf all help by reducing carb intake which therefore starves out the yeast.

It all boils down to starving out the yeast or crowding it out with healthy bacteria. Yeast love sugar. If you drink sweet drinks, eat high starches and carbs, you will have more yeast than if you eat lower glycemic choices.
